Our chef in action

La Terraza de Luna

Our Story

From sea to table, from grandmother to granddaughter

It all began in the 1960s, when María Luna prepared fish fries for holidaymakers at a small beachside chiringuito. Her recipes, passed down through the generations, are the soul of what is today La Terraza de Luna.

Her son, Antonio, transformed that modest venture into a restaurant with its own identity, weaving North African and southern Italian influences into Andalusian cuisine. It was he who chose the old town terrace, seeking the views that today define our experience.

Today, Elena Luna — María's granddaughter — leads the kitchen with the same passion but a contemporary vision. Trained at Europe's finest culinary schools, Elena honours the family recipes while reinventing them with modern techniques and seasonal produce from the Málaga coast.

Our philosophy

What guides us

Local Produce

Every morning, our team visits the market and the port to select the finest produce of the day. We believe excellence begins with the raw ingredients.

Genuine Hospitality

For us, every diner is a guest in our home. Our front-of-house team, led by maître Carlos, attends to every detail so that your evening is perfect.

Tradition & Innovation

We honour the recipes that preceded us while exploring new techniques and flavours. Mediterranean cuisine evolves, and so do we.

"Cooking is not just about nourishing the body. It is about creating a moment, a memory, a connection. That is what we do every evening on our terrace."
